1. Products and Services
ECM Options sells automotive electronic modules, including ECMs, PCMs, TCMs, BCMs, ABS modules, diagnostic scanners, key programming equipment, and related products.
We also offer electronic module programming, cloning, remote technical assistance, and other automotive electronic services.
2. Vehicle Compatibility
Customers are responsible for providing accurate vehicle information, including the year, make, model, VIN, and applicable part number.
Incorrect information may result in compatibility or programming issues.
Certain electronic modules require additional programming, key synchronization, or installation by a qualified automotive technician. Additional charges may apply.
3. Installation Responsibility
ECM Options does not provide warranty coverage for installation work performed by independent mechanics or third-party repair facilities.
Customers are responsible for arranging proper installation and ensuring that their vehicles are in suitable operating condition.
This provision does not exclude liability for defects in ECM Options products or services where applicable law provides otherwise.
4. Payment Terms
Full payment is required before an online order is processed, programmed, or shipped.
Online payments are accepted through credit and debit cards processed by WooPayments.
All prices are subject to applicable taxes and shipping charges.
5. Pricing Errors
If a product is listed at an incorrect price, ECM Options may contact the customer to explain the error and offer the choice of paying the corrected price or receiving a full refund, subject to applicable law.
6. Product Availability and Backorders
Product availability is subject to change.
If an ordered product becomes unavailable, ECM Options may offer a backorder with the customer’s approval.
Customers may cancel an approved backorder before shipment and receive a full refund without a restocking fee.
7. Order Cancellations
Customers may cancel an order before it has shipped, even if programming has already been completed.
Eligible cancellations made before shipment receive a full refund, including programming charges, without a restocking fee.
Once an order has shipped, our Refund and Returns Policy applies, subject to applicable law.
8. Shipping and Delivery
ECM Options ships to the United States, Puerto Rico, and international destinations, subject to shipping availability and restrictions.
International customers are responsible for applicable customs duties, import taxes, and customs clearance fees unless otherwise required by law.
If a shipping carrier confirms that a package was lost or damaged in transit, ECM Options will arrange a replacement at no additional charge, subject to product availability and applicable legal requirements.
Customers should promptly report shipping problems and provide relevant tracking information.
9. Refunds and Returns
Eligible products may be returned within 30 days of delivery, subject to our Refund and Returns Policy.
Approved returns are generally subject to a 25% restocking fee. Customers are responsible for return shipping, and original shipping charges are generally nonrefundable.
These terms are subject to applicable law, including any mandatory rights relating to defective, incorrectly supplied, or misrepresented products.
Return authorization must be requested by contacting ecmoptions@gmail.com before sending a product back.
10. Automotive Electronic Module Warranty
ECM Options provides a limited 30-day warranty on eligible automotive electronic modules, including ECMs, PCMs, TCMs, and BCMs.
The warranty begins on the original purchase date.
For a verified defect covered by this warranty, ECM Options will provide a replacement module, subject to availability and applicable law.
Customers are responsible for shipping the defective module to ECM Options, and ECM Options will cover shipping of an approved replacement, except where applicable law requires a different arrangement.
Replacement modules continue under the original warranty period rather than automatically receiving a new 30-day warranty, except where required by law.
The warranty does not cover damage caused by improper installation, electrical shorts, water damage, physical damage, unauthorized modifications, or vehicle wiring problems, where those circumstances caused the damage.
This limited warranty does not restrict any statutory rights or remedies.
11. Diagnostic Equipment Warranty
Autel diagnostic scanners, key programming equipment, and other applicable diagnostic products are covered by their respective manufacturer’s warranty terms.
Warranty coverage, procedures, and durations may vary by product and manufacturer.
12. Programming Services
Successfully completed programming services are nonrefundable, except where required by applicable law.
If ECM Options cannot successfully complete a purchased programming service, the customer will receive a refund of the programming service fee.
Some programming procedures require additional vehicle-specific operations or equipment that may involve additional charges.
13. Technical Support and Remote Assistance
Technical support, programming assistance, and remote assistance are separate paid services unless expressly included with a product purchase.
If ECM Options cannot resolve the customer’s issue during a paid remote technical support session, the technical support fee will be refunded.
Customers must have compatible equipment, necessary cables and software, a stable internet connection, and access to the vehicle during the scheduled session.
14. Remote Support Appointments
Customers who miss a scheduled remote technical support appointment may reschedule without an additional fee, subject to availability.
Requests to cancel a remote support session before it begins will be evaluated individually. ECM Options may offer a refund or rescheduling, subject to applicable law.
15. Limitations and Customer Responsibilities
Customers should follow appropriate installation, programming, and safety procedures.
ECM Options is not responsible for damage caused solely by independent third-party installation work, improper handling, unauthorized modifications, or unrelated vehicle defects.
Nothing in these Terms and Conditions excludes or limits liability or consumer remedies that cannot legally be excluded or limited.
16. Changes to These Terms
ECM Options may update these Terms and Conditions from time to time.
Updated terms will be published on our website. Changes will not retroactively alter completed purchases where prohibited by applicable law.
